Alex Mari, M.D.

A native Californian, Dr. Mari graduated from Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in 1989 and then completed his internship and residency training at David Grant USAF Medical Center. He joined Orangeburg Medical Group in 1996 after completing tours of duty in Turkey and Arizona with the United States Air Force. Dr. Mari recalls wanting to become a physician even at a very young age. “Choosing to become a Family Practice Physician was easy for me as it was the only thing I ever wanted to do. I enjoy Family Practice because it allows me to treat a variety of patients, focusing on the person rather than a particular disease state and because I feel that I can make a positive impact in the health and lives of my patients. I enjoy the relationship and partnership that I can develop with my patients as a Family Practice physician and feel that it is a privilege when someone comes to me for their healthcare needs.” He enjoys sports, camping, traveling, and photography.
